Carving is travelling in an ‘S’ manner, building and maintaining speed while staying under control.
Drop Down Longboards are ultra-stable with a very low centre of gravity, an alternative to Pintails for carving, cruising and they also work for faster downhill riding.
40-inch Drop-through Longboards are suitable for long distances. They are stiffer and close to the ground, so they are more responsive, better suited to the regular commuter than the weekend Longboarder when carving and cruising.
Drop throughs excel at downhill freeriding, where the Longboarder drifts and slides downhill, an intermediate to advanced longboarding technique.
If Freestyles is your preferred style, then a top-mounted 40-inch Longboard with a single or double kick is required to perform tricks such as jumps, spins, grinds and more.
